Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-Time Salary: £40,755 - £45,510 per annum Welcome Payment: £1,000 About the Role Connect2Socialwork is working in partnership with a local authority in South West London to recruit a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join their Mental Health Social Care Team (MHSCT). This specialist team supports adults whose primary need is mental health, as well as individuals with autism, substance misuse issues, and young people transitioning from children's to adult services. The role involves working under the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act, in close collaboration with NHS mental health teams, wards, and community partners. Key Responsibilities Manage complex cases under the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding frameworks Undertake assessments, reviews, and mental capacity assessments Work in partnership with NHS and community organisations Supervise social workers and receive support from senior practitioners Progress toward AMHP training as part of career development Prepare cases for the Court of Protection where necessary Ideal Candidate Qualified Social Worker with post-qualifying experience in a statutory setting Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act Experience in safeguarding, case management, and multi-agency working Excellent communication and report writing skills IT proficient Experience working with individuals affected by mental health, autism, and substance misuse Team & Environment Large, friendly, and supportive team Based at at a hospital in South West London with hybrid working options Includes a manager, deputy manager, senior practitioners, and business support staff Interested?
