About the Role
NEOS Engineering are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Mechanic to join our client’s team in Wigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and machinery used within construction, quarrying and earth moving operations, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on mobile and static plant, including loading shovels, material handlers, excavators, dumpers and more.
* Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
* Undertake preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
* Work on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and industry standards.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter working on heavy machinery.
* Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to fault-find and resolve issues independently.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or relevant (Required)
