PMO Manager – Energy & Infrastructure Projects
Location: Manchester or Bristol (hybrid)
Type: Permanent
An international engineering organisation is strengthening its UK delivery capability to take on some of the most complex and high-impact projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors — from nuclear and grid to the wider energy‑transition landscape.
We’re now looking for a PMO Manager to help shape how these programmes are governed, reported and continuously improved. This newly created role will bring structure and influence to a growing portfolio, ensuring that information flows smoothly, decisions are well‑informed, and performance is measured effectively across major projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career — perhaps an experienced Project Controls or PMO professional who’s been involved in setting up or developing PMO functions and is now ready to lead that process from the ground up within a construction or infrastructure environment.
You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineering and project leaders, driving consistency and best practice while keeping a focus on delivery outcomes. The environment is open, collaborative and committed to long‑term professional growth.
What you’ll do:
* Establish and develop PMO frameworks, governance, reporting and performance management processes
* Work with project and engineering teams to improve consistency and visibility across programmes
* Support decision‑making and planning through robust data, insights and dashboards
* Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives that strengthen delivery capability
What we’re looking for:
* Background in project controls, PMO or similar within engineering, construction or infrastructure
* Understanding of how major projects are structured and governed
* Confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making
* Drive to build something new and make a measurable impact
Why join:
* Permanent role in a respected international engineering business
* Opportunity to design and embed PMO best practice at business level
* Hybrid working from Manchester or Bristol, with flexibility around home and office presence
* Supportive culture with strong career‑development pathways
* If you believe you have the experience and motivation to take on this challenge, we’d love to hear from you. Apply or reach out to arrange a short, confidential conversation.
