We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Interventional Radiographer to join our dynamic Interventional Radiology department.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a cutting-edge Neurointerventional and General Interventional multi disciplinary team, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Performing a wide range of interventional procedures including cardiac, vascular, hepatobiliary, and neuro-interventions
* Operating advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
* Collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
* Leading and supporting interventional radiographers and students in clinical practice
* Participating in audit, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
Our Interventional radiology department promotes a supportive team culture with regular CPD sessions and we also encourage involvement in Research and Innovation.
Main duties of the job
To lead the technical/radiographer staff, and to further develop an efficient IR/INR service for BHRUT.
The post-holder will participate in the effective day to day running of the IR service, standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings, and waiting list and managing radiographers.
Ensuring IR service is fully maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trusts policy including comprehensive competency assessments.

Person specification
Education/Qualifications
* Hold BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma or equivalent.
* Current HCPC Registration
* Evidence of relevant Continuous Professional Development
Experience/Knowledge
* Considerable experience and proven post qualification experience in IR/INR/Cardiology is essential.
* Experience of working within an NHS organisation
