We have an exciting opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated GP Receptionist to join our friendly practice. We are single handed practice looking after just about 3000 patients in South Ockendon. We are looking for someone who can work 20-25 hours per week.
We operate from two sites: Sancta Maria Centre in South Ockendon and Primecare Medical Centre in Grays so ideally the candidate will require to work across both sites.
Ideally you'll need to have experience working in a GP surgery and using a clinical system (Systm One); although full training will be provided. The main duties include answering the phones, managing e-consultations, booking/cancelling appointments, greeting patients, opening/closing the surgery and administrative work with prescriptions, registrations, blood forms, emailing referrals, provide holiday cover as of when required etc.
Applicants must be computer literate, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have experience of working within a customer or patient facing role. Attention to detail and maintaining confidentiality are essential.
The role is part of a fast paced, team working environment, and requires the candidate to work under pressure and have the ability to keep up with regular changes. It is, however, a very rewarding and varied role.
Work hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday however this may change as per requirements.
