Mechanical Shift Engineer – £51,000 | Stratford

💷 Salary: £43,000 + £8600 Shift allowance
🕒 Hours: 4 on, 4 off, rotating 06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00
We are working with a prestigious client who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to oversee electrical PPMs, reactive maintenance, and general building services. Responsibilities
* Perform daily PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
* Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
* Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
* Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)
* Handle general building maintenance tasks such as toilets, drainage, tiling, and sinks when required
* Demonstrate knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, UPS, Generators, LV systems, and fault finding
* Manage BMS (Building Management System) including Head End Controls
* Maintain and repair HVAC plant, VAV, VRV systems, and water treatment systems
Requirements
* City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
* Ideally, 3 years of experience in building services maintenance
* Strong building services knowledge and ability to fault-find on key systems
* Desire to succeed and learn within the role
