*Job Description: Senior Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester*
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a high-level, experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join our busy MOT & Service Centre. This role is suited to a technician who takes pride in their work and consistently delivers a high standard of workmanship.
The successful candidate will be confident carrying out advanced mechanical repairs, diagnostics, servicing, and MOT testing to DVSA standards, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Perform high-quality mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance across a wide range of vehicles
* Diagnose faults accurately and efficiently, recommending appropriate repairs
* Identify, record, and clearly report defects and advisories during MOT inspections and servicing
* Communicate technical findings clearly with the reception team
* Work to a consistently high standard, taking pride in the quality of work produced
* Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
* Maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports, and service documentation
* Adhere to all health & safety procedures
* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment
*Experience & Requirements*
* Valid MOT Testing Licence (desireable)
* Proven experience as a senior or highly competent vehicle technician
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic knowledge
* Ability to work independently and to a high standard
* Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach
* Confident use of hand and power tools
* Ability to carry out physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting
*Working Hours*
* *Monday to Friday:* 8:30am – 5:30pm
* *Alternate Saturdays:* 8:00am – 1:00pm
