Join a well established magazine team based in Manchester city centre
Are you an ambitious journalist looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced, multi‑platform business media environment where no two days are the same.
Working closely with the editor and deputy editor as part of a small team you’ll contribute to everything from writing compelling business stories to helping plan and deliver high‑profile events. Insider runs a busy calendar of business networking events across the North West, and our editors play a central role in shaping them, from selecting speakers and judging awards to leading on‑stage interviews. You’ll initially shadow the editor and deputy editor, gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence and experience grow. We won’t throw you in at the deep end, we give careful thorough training. You’ll be supported with one‑to‑one training and mentoring to help you thrive.
We’re looking for a confident communicator who’s comfortable picking up the phone, walking into boardrooms, and building relationships with senior business leaders.
An NCTJ qualification (or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential, above all, we’re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
