You will support student learning, achievement and development under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher: Sixth Form. The Sixth Form Student Manager will be responsible for managing the Sixth Form Learning Area functions as well as identifying and supporting vulnerable students in Years You will also play a key role in improving the behaviour, attendance and engagement of students.
Central to the post is the promotion of a high expectation culture, which pursues excellence for every student every day and the promotion of a positive team culture which celebrates both learning and achievement.
You will have an understanding of:
* The OFSTED framework, in particular around student welfare, progress and safety
* Legislation around school admissions, attendance, child protection, and safeguarding
* Multi-agency working in support of safeguarding and student welfare
* Positive behaviour management techniques, restorative approaches and solution focused language techniques
You will have:
* A passion for instilling a work ethic and rigour with a wide range of students
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* An ability to take responsibility and achieve success
