Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage staff, oversee food preparation, and drive the overall success of the restaurant.
The salary is £35,000 plus service charge making it a total of £40,000 per year as well as cash tips pushing the expected salary to £43,000 but could exceed this if the right candidate builds the business
Duties
* Oversee daily venue operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
* Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment
* Implement effective team management strategies to enhance productivity and morale
* Ensure exceptional service delivery to all guests, enhancing their dining experience
* Maintain inventory levels and manage food production to minimise waste
* Conduct regular inspections of kitchen operations to uphold food safety standards
* Collaborate with culinary staff to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends
* Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to ensure satisfaction
* Prepare reports on restaurant performance, including sales figures and staffing needs
* Overseeing all event management from start to finish
* Looking after all the HACCAP and health and safety.
Skills
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality sector
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers alike
* Experience in serving, barista duties, or hotel management is advantageous
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
