Hayward Hawk are working in partnership with one of Belfast's leading law firms to recruit a Litigation Paralegal to join their busy team.
The role:
* Assisting Fee Earners on large transactions
* Efficient and timely preparation and management of files/documents
* Drafting letters and legal documentation/contracts
* Proofreading legal documents
* Preparing briefs and e-bundles
* Assisting staff during consultations and at court
* Performing searches from various sources
* Conducting due diligence and discovery
* Performing legal research
* Attending client/Counsel meetings as required
* Liaise with clients and third parties as needed via email, telephone, etc
* Handle administrative tasks, including file opening and payments, to ensure cases progress efficiently and promptly
* Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures
* Deliver documents, serve subpoenas, swear affidavits, and obtain signatures as required
The candidate:
* Experience working in an insurance litigation environment
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet manipulation
* Demonstrating flexibility to assist own and other departments across the firm, including working reasonable overtime as required
* Showing self-motivation, appropriate use of initiative, and eagerness for self-development
* Being a good team player, both with clients and within the firm
* Performing all duties in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
* Quickly communicating relevant matters to the team, especially problems, difficulties, or mistakes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
