Role & Responsibilities:
As an Account Executive, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the acquisition and delivery of small to medium-sized client requirements (typical order values between £100 and £10,000).
* Completing administrative tasks that relate to sales, procurement, and marketing processes.
* Supporting the commercial team in the delivery of large-scale projects.
* Completing pre-qualification questionnaires and onboarding processes with clients.
* Collaborating with operations, technical, and research departments to ensure seamless fulfilment of client requirements and meeting reporting deadlines.
* Answering telephone calls in response to incoming enquiries.
* Reporting to the Commercial Manager on sales and account information.
* Travelling to client sites, exhibitions, events, and Head Office (Chatham, Kent) when required, including potential overnight stays.
Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent (desirable).
* Experience in managing client accounts and internal sales processes (desirable).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (sales, marketing, or account handling).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
* Exemplary attention to detail.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a professional telephone manner.
* Friendly and approachable with a 'can do' attitude.
