Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Skilled Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Birmingham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced assembler with a strong background in precision mechanical assembly.
The successful candidate will be joining a skilled production team assembling high-quality automotive components to exacting standards.
Your Role
As a Skilled Assembler, your duties will include:
* Assembling complex mechanical components to detailed engineering drawings and specifications
* Building and fitting power steering units, steering racks, brake calipers and pump assemblies
* Carrying out sub-assembly and full build assembly processes
* Using hand tools, torque tools and precision measuring equipment
* Conducting quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet required tolerances and standards
* Identifying and reporting faults, defects or component issues
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workstation
* Working in line with all quality, health & safety and production procedures
