Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school is committed to delivering a broad, engaging and relevant Geography curriculum and is looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will deliver Geography across KS3 and KS4, preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and fostering a strong understanding of both human and physical geography.
The Role
• Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach a balanced curriculum covering physical, human and environmental geography
• Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations with a focus on progress and attainment
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
• Support fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Geography across KS3 (KS4 experience desirable)
• Strong subject knowledge across human and physical geography
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting pupil achievement
• Passion for inspiring young people and promoting global awareness

• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
