Job Title : Low Carbon Consultant
Location : Bristol/Cardiff (On-site)
TGRC are delighted to be partnered with an international real estate consultancy that is the leader in delivering energy improvement & optimisation advice and looking to add a Low Carbon Consultant to its team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing specialized guidance to minimize energy consumption and carbon footprint in constructed spaces.
2. Developing a product portfolio.
3. Conducting IES VE modelling for various building types to achieve energy optimization and decarbonization.
4. Capable of advising clients and project leaders on the technical and economic performance of diverse low-carbon energy solutions, sustainable measures, technologies, and comprehensive built environment solutions.
5. Delivering professional services such as Non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) reports, ADL2A dynamic simulations and SBEM calculations.
6. Offering quality assurance support as needed.
7. Staying updated on relevant regulations and educating internal teams and clients on current and future legislative requirements.
8. Demonstrating proficiency in business development and client relations.
9. Adhering to Health & Safety protocols.
10. Taking ownership of continuous professional learning.
11. Upholding Company Values.
12. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions for the built environment.
13. Coordinating portfolio instructions and handling additional responsibilities as reasonably required.
Your Profile:
14. A degree in an Energy or Sustainability subject is preferable
15. Previous experience in a commercial property environment is preferable
16. An in-depth knowledge of IES or similar software
17. Good understanding of the National Calculation Methodology
18. Qualified level 3 or 4 non-domestic energy assessor. Level 5 preferable
19. A good understanding of mechanical design
20. Is interested in a Sustainable Built Environment
21. Demonstrates a wider understanding of complex sustainability problems associated with a range of built environment issues and identifies appropriate solutions through sound sustainability principles
22. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
23. Driving licence essential
24. Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
25. Must be enthusiastic proactive and self-motivated
26. Must have great verbal and numerical skills and good written skills
27. Requires effective time management and general organisation skills
28. Is required to be flexible and can work in a time-sensitive situation
29. Have a positive attitude
