Join a forward-thinking team as an Internal Combustion & Emissions Laboratory Test Technician at the University of Warwick. Play a key role in engineering projects, working with industry leaders and academic experts in a state-of-the-art facility.
What You Will Do:
1. Support the operation of test cells, preparing and testing internal combustion engines.
2. Collaborate with engineers, academics, and third-party teams for engine testing.
3. Install and maintain instrumentation like thermocouples and pressure transducers.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal operation.
5. Develop test methodologies and provide technical input to meet requirements.
6. Share knowledge and assist team members with equipment and processes.
What You Will Bring:
1. Experience with internal combustion systems, including spark and compression ignition engines.
2. Skills in engine disassembly, assembly, and inspection.
3. Knowledge of instrumentation installation and testing methodologies.
4. A qualification such as City & Guilds Level 3 or a full-time apprenticeship.
5. Additional skills in fabrication, welding, or machining are a plus.

Location:
