We are recruiting for an Automotive Feature Systems Engineer for our UK customer. \nThis is a unique opportunity to develop the latest cross vehicle sub-system features and technologies. This Feature System Engineer position involves ownership of features from first concept through development and into production. Today is the age of electrification and automation of the automotive industry with new features proposed daily and we need people that are creative and motivated to deliver the features of tomorrow to our customers. \nPosition Responsibilities \n\nExecute a Systems Engineering approach to new feature design to meet customer needs \nLead the development of new features at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and manage feature upgrade and migration plan \nDevelop and understand high level network, wiring and power distribution topologies \/ schematics \/ block diagrams \nAllocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality and feature performance targets \nDevelop feature specifications, feature Failure Mode Avoidance documentation, feature verification plan etc \nReview existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost or quality improvement \nInteract with program teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solutions to competing requirements \nDevelop relationships with cross functional teams and supply base to learn about the latest technologies and possible implementation \nAnalyze complex cross-functional systems and implement innovative solutions \nLead trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams \nCommunicate complex systems, issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner \nUtilize connected data & data analytics to develop a deep understanding of the customer \n \n What you bring along: \n Skills required: \n\nStrong learning agility \nAbility to lead cross-functional teams \nStrong systems thinking and analytical skills \nQuality and attention to detail mindset \nExcellent communication skills both verbally and written, with the ability to quickly understand and articulate complex issues \nEmotional resilience to negotiate cross functional trade-offs \n \nSkills preferred: \n\nIn-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams) \nFunctional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc. \nElectrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model \nElectrical D&R experience \nElectrical testing experience \nKnowledge of software development processes. \n \nExperience required: \n\n3 years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and\/or features \nKnowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams) \nElectrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model \nAutomotive electrical testing experience \n \nExperience preferred: \n\nFunctional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc. \nElectrical D&R experience \nKnowledge of software development \n \nEducation required: \n\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree \n \nEducation preferred: \n\nMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree \n \n Position is confirmed inside IR35.
