Base pay range: £14.00 to £14.50 per hour, with weekly pay days, holidays, and pension. This equates to a rolled up hourly rate of £16.16 – £16.74. The role is based in Newton Le Willows, Warrington, and St Helens Children’s Residential Homes.

Responsibilities
* Provide emotional and social support: Build meaningful relationships with the children and encourage interaction with peers and adults within the community.
* Promote positive life choices and independence: Support children in making positive decisions and developing independence appropriate to their age and abilities.
* Daily living support: Assist with daily living needs in accordance with care plans, including attending activities, appointments, and education.
* Domestic duties: Conduct household tasks and involve children where appropriate, including planning, shopping, and preparing meals to ensure a varied and balanced diet.
What We Need
* Previous experience of working with challenging behaviours is required.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Residential Child Care or willingness to work towards.
* Experience of working with children/young people, ideally with EBD needs.
* Day and night shift availability; full and part-time on a 12-hour shift pattern.
* Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
* The position is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
