Description Educational Psychologist – Virtual School (Main grade) Soulbury Educational Psychologists' Scale A 5 to 10 plus up to 3 SPAs (£53,554 to £63,638, plus up to 3 SPAs – to a maximum of £67,526) International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Lancashire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is seeking main grade Educational Psychologists (EPs) to work in partnership with Lancashire Virtual School. This is an exciting opportunity for an Educational Psychologist who is motivated to apply psychology systemically and relationally to improve outcomes for children and young people who are looked after. 0.5 of your role will involve working directly with the Virtual School. There will be a strong emphasis on relational, trauma-informed, nurture-based and attachment-aware approaches, systemic consultation and formulation, capacity-building and multi-agency collaboration. You will use psychological frameworks to facilitate group problem solving discussions. You will also be involved in individual casework and training. You will be supported in your role by a member of the EPS' wider leadership team, and your role will include joint working with Assistant EPs. You will also be part of the wider EPS, which comprises of three dynamic, friendly and supportive teams of EPs, who are committed to optimising outcomes for children and young people and providing support and help to those who need it. The EPS has a new core service offer with a community psychology lens and a focus on group consultation-led reflection to support systemic change. You will develop workshops with colleagues on topics relevant to the needs of your district. You will utilise your consultation skills to support settings to review practice and consider implementation of new approaches. You may be involved in the delivery of emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA) training and early years workshops for practitioners and parent carers. You will be part of a working group which enable EPs to utilise their wide range of research interests and support wider local authority priorities. Lancashire EPS has a generous allocation of time for continuing professional development (CPD) which includes: individual and peer reflective supervision. the opportunity to supervise Trainee EPs or Assistant EPs if you are eligible and would like to do so (which is awarded an additional salary scale point for the duration of the supervision). monthly CPD Service Days in which all three EP teams come together with a focus on supporting the CPD needs of the EPS as a whole and service development. the opportunity to become involved in the internal CPD planning group. the opportunity to become a member of the North-West EP CPD Conference steering group which plans the annual North-West EP CPD Conference that is successfully hosted in Lancashire.
