Finance Assistant Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

Location: Reading (Office-based for first 3 months, then 1 day WFH per week)

About the Role: We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join a leading law firm. While legal cashier experience is not essential, prior experience as a Finance Assistant within a law firm is highly desirable.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and develop your finance skills within the legal sector.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
2. Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations accurately and on time.
3. Support month-end and year-end financial reporting.
4. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies.
5. Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve finance queries.
6. Assist with client account management in line with SRA regulations.

Requirements:

7. Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, ideally within a law firm.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
10. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
