Job Summary
The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy and stable practice, covering up to eight sessions per week in a coastal location.

* 8,000 patients across two sites (Holbrook and Shotley)
Main Duties
* Undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, and manage repeat prescriptions.
* Make autonomous decisions regarding presenting medical problems.
* Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with practice disease‑management protocols.
* Provide health education.
* Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
* Deliver enhanced services.
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Perform all general duties and responsibilities of a GP in primary care.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
* Listed on the NHSE medical performers list.
Experience
* Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management and primary prevention and screening services.
* Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance, ensuring mandatory training is up to date.
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety).
* Commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
Additional Information
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a submission for Disclosure is required. UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
