Those Huge Small Victories
Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There are many ups and downs, and for some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and while they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.
Get out what you put in
You'll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role is to help them learn, develop their abilities, and raise their self-esteem. It can be a challenging journey, but the positive steps forward will more than compensate. Our colleagues are highly skilled, the school environments are well-resourced, and we are committed to supporting your career development every step of the way.
One of the best environments in SEND
The transformational impact of Avon Park School is consistently recognized by parents, carers, and professionals. The school's ability to connect and engage with pupils stems from its strong ethos of high expectations and aspirations for every child, recently achieving an Outstanding rating by Ofsted.
All staff, including teaching, pastoral, and therapy teams, work collaboratively to ensure each pupil's academic, emotional, and personal development. This whole-school commitment helps pupils with ADHD, ASD, Asperger's, or SEMH grow into capable and confident young people eager to succeed.
