The Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure Centre is located in Drymen, the gateway to Rob Roy and Loch Lomond. With 51 bedrooms, events space and leisure and just half hour from Glasgow, the hotel is poised for a fantastic growth this year.
We are currently looking for a Hotel Manager who is operationally astute and well versed in all departments. Setting high operational standards and willing to roll up your sleeves will be paramount to the position. Experience in managing a diverse team and being able to become a respected member of the local community will go a long way in making your presence felt. It goes without saying that being a good host and making sure our guests are delighted with their experience will set the grounds for a great future and proving leadership. You will also play a key role in being a mentor to other staff and be part of their journey of their growth with us

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning with a hands-on approach
- Supervise and train staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and guest services, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage human resources functions, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize hotel revenue and profitability
- Monitor and maintain hotel facilities, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hotel management role or similar position is a must
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, reservations, events and food service
- Familiarity with human resources practices and procedures in a hospitality setting
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards
