Regularly communicate with clients by phone, email and in person. Prepare accounts for smaller clients and support the completion of corporation and personal tax returns. Handle bookkeeping tasks and draft VAT returns. Opportunity to assist with transactional work, including M&A and complex tax matters. Provide ad hoc project support across wider business areas. Skills and Experience GCSE/A-level/Degree (preferably in a numerate or analytical discipline). Strong numerical capability with sound analytical and critical-thinking skills. Good IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office and Excel. Confident communicator with the ability to engage clearly with clients and colleagues. Prior experience in an accountancy practice is highly desirable. Previous experience doing VAT / bookkeeping (practice or industry) is desirable.
