Night Shift Train Cleaner
Location: Hornsey Depot, North London
Pay rate: £13.85 – £24.24 per hour (depending on shifts and overtime)

About the Role
You will join the night shift team responsible for ensuring trains meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety before returning to service. Your tasks will include:
6. Interior cleaning: hoovering, mopping, and sanitising touch points.
7. Exterior cleaning: washing train exteriors and supporting depot operations.
8. Occasional CET (Controlled Emission Toilet) servicing.
You will work as part of a team in a safety-critical environment where attention to detail and reliability are key.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Saturday: 22:30pm – 05:30am
Sunday: 22:00pm – 06:00am
Overtime available at management discretion.
You will typically work around 35 hours per week, with opportunities to increase your earnings through regular overtime and rest-day shifts. At times, you may be scheduled for longer periods of up to 13 consecutive days, followed by extended rest breaks — giving you the chance to maximise both your pay and your time off.
Flexibility is an important part of this role, and your readiness to cover additional shifts when needed will be an added bonus!

Standard Hours (35 hrs/week): £13.85 p/h
Overtime (36+ hrs): £20.78 p/h
Rest Days: £20.78 p/h
Sundays: £24.24 p/h
After 12 weeks, pay increases in line with AWR. Successful contractors are frequently offered permanent roles, making this a fantastic long-term opportunity.
