About the Role
At Axil, we’re passionate about doing waste management the right way – safely, compliantly, and efficiently. We are now looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Supervisor to help keep operations running smoothly at one of our customer sites. Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll be a visible leader on the ground, supporting day-to-day activities, guiding site operatives. You’ll also help maintain high standards of compliance, safety, and housekeeping while ensuring operations continue seamlessly in the absence of colleagues.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong operational experience who enjoys leading by example and playing a key role in creating a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations and the weekly booking schedule
* Ensuring daily pre-use inspections are completed on all plant and equipment, with defects reported promptly
* Assisting with hazardous recycling collections, including generating hazardous waste lists, labelling loads, and loading trailers
* Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing recycling streams
* Ensuring all recycling streams are correctly segregated, stored safely, and fully compliant with regulations
* Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the site everyday
* Covering for colleagues during periods of holiday or absence when required
* Working in line with company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation
* Complying with HSE, Environment Agency, and other regulatory requirements
* Actively promoting and embedding a strong, generative Heath & Safety culture
* Carrying out any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of site operations
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Forklift driving experience
* Tow truck experience
* Strong time management skills
* A health & safety conscious mindset
Desirable
* Experience and knowledge of hazardous waste segregation

* Reliable, flexible, and able to step up when needed
Hours of Work
4on 4off shift pattern, 06:00 – 18:00.
Pay
£14.32 per hour, plus a shift allowance - further details to be confirmed at interview stage.
