AR838 - Workshop Team LeaderLocation: SwanleySalary: £39,000 - £43,000 + BenefitsOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Workshop Team Leader to join our clients team in Swanley.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day efficient running of the engineering team within the workshop, supporting high-quality service delivery and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role involves leading, motivating, and supporting engineers while acting as the first point of contact for all operational issues.Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel but all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee the overall performance of the workshop team against KPI targets
* Ensure efficient turnaround of used equipment
* Monitor on-time preparation against committed dates (New, Used, STR)
* Maintain average job times in line with agreed targets
* Ensure quality standards are consistently met
* Manage output levels of prepared trucks against targets
* Leading and supporting the engineering team on a daily basis
* Acting as the first point of contact for engineers
* Driving team engagement, motivation, and performance
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the workshop and warehouse
* Supporting a high-quality customer experience
* Carrying out engineering duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified mechanical engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Strong people management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Comfortable in customer-facing situations
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Competent with IT systems
* Proactive, motivated, and team-oriented
* Conflict management experience
