Job summary
Worcestershire Community Dentalservices is a county wide service seeing patients on a referral basis, ourpatients have additional needs such as medically compromised, phobia's, specialneeds, autism, looked after adults and children. We are looking for a QualifiedDental nurse who is also friendly, reliable, understanding individual who wantsto make a difference to the dental care we deliver to our patients. We coverdentistry in patients homes, hospitals and clinic based. We offer treatment viasedation, local and general anaesthetics. You will work alongside consultantsand specialists and highly experienced dental clinicians, therapists, nursesand receptionists. In our most recent CQC evaluation the community dental teamwere rated outstanding for caring.

Main duties of the job
Yourprimary responsibility will be to provide clinical support in a wide range oftreatments for a broad client base, extended duties would be a distinctadvantage but not essential. We would like you to have a welcoming and positiveapproach for our patients and be an upbeat and reliable member of the team, beable to work well in challenging situations and maintain excellent crossinfection.

Be a key member of the dental team, working with Dentists and Therapists to assist in the smooth organisation of the surgery to give a high standard of care to patients.
Undertake surgery duties on a daily basis with occasional reception duties associated with the needs of Worcestershire Community Dental Service.
Work at clinics across Worcestershire.
Registered with the General Dental Council and ensure maintenance of this registration.

1. Registered on the GDC
2. Trained and examined to National Certificate level or equivalent

8. Dental chairside assistance in a range of patient care treatments
9. Experience of organising and maintaining a dental surgery including good infection control and decontamination procedures
10. Experience of working in a dental setting including handling cash, booking appointments and sending correspondence to patients
11. Maintenance of CPD portfolio
