Are you a passionate RVN looking for something more than the average clinical role? Do you want to be part of shaping a brand-new, independent veterinary hospital from the ground up – a place where your input truly matters, and your professional growth is genuinely supported?
Ensure all your application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.
Rugby Vets is opening a brand-new, independent veterinary hospital in Rugby, and we’re looking for experienced, forward-thinking Registered Veterinary Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their careers. This initial phase of recruitment is focused on building a core clinical team. However, if your ambition lies in clinical leadership, team development, or operational management, we offer exciting future opportunities for those with the right skills, mindset, and drive, including Head Nurse, Practice Manager and Lead Nurse roles.
This is a rare opportunity to join from the very beginning and help shape the culture, set the standards, and build something truly exceptional alongside a supportive leadership team that genuinely values and empowers its nursing team.
We’re creating a hospital that works for our people, not just the business. From your working environment to your rota, your wellbeing is a top priority. You’ll have your say on protocols, patient care pathways, and the day-to-day running of the clinic. And because we believe our success is driven by the contributions of the whole team, you’ll benefit from a profit share scheme that recognises your impact from day one.
Our hospital is being designed to achieve both clinical excellence and team well-being, with spacious prep and theatre areas, a dedicated imaging suite, and comfortable staff areas. We’ll be equipped to deliver the highest standards of patient care, diagnostics and surgery from the moment we open our doors, with everything you’d expect from a referral-level facility, including a CT scanner, DR X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, an in-house Idexx lab, and more. We’re committed to building this the right way, with a dedicated out-of-hours and night team in place from the outset to deliver 24/7 care. Crucially, it also means no out-of-hours responsibilities for our day RVNs, so you can focus on providing exceptional care during your shift and truly switch off afterwards.
Our hospital will be the only practice in the area offering 24/7 care, including overnight hospitalisation and advanced diagnostic services such as CT. Conveniently located in the heart of Rugby, we anticipate a rapid growth in our client base, both within the local community and beyond. Our location and facilities put you at the centre of a thriving, fast-growing practice, with a diverse caseload. We’re currently looking for experienced RVNs to join our day team and help shape our hospital in its foundational phase. We truly value the expertise and impact of a skilled nursing team, and we want you to thrive in your role. With structured support and clear pathways for genuine progression, you could advance into leadership roles like Head Nurse, Clinical Lead Nurse, or even Practice Manager right here with us, depending on where your ambitions lie.
As we grow our day team, we’re committed to offering flexibility to help you find a work schedule that fits your life. Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or something a little different, we’re happy to chat about the options available, all with your wellbeing and long-term career growth in mind.
