Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Calibration Engineer to work with the maintenance team within the Shrewsbury business. Successful candidates must be self‑starters with the enthusiasm and tenacity to succeed. The candidate must be self‑sufficient in day‑to‑day activities, with a proactive and thorough approach to calibration and organising calibration. The individual will be able to navigate various business systems and provide clear and concise input to the maintenance team and support groups as needed. Additional training, if required, will be provided.
What You Will Do
* Collect equipment across site and send it to external companies
* Collect equipment for internal calibration
* Perform internal calibration
* Occasional test bed/channel calibration
* Liaise with Norton to organise external calibration
* File and organise certification
* Liaise with quality auditors
What You Have
* Experience of general maintenance within factory environment
* Experience of using hand tools
* Ability to work well within supervision
* Self‑discipline to follow simple instructions in Health & Safety and Quality
* Knowledge of Calibration
* Organisational skills
* Computer literacy skills
* Electrical qualification advantageous but not essential
