Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with experience in food preparation and production within a restaurant or hospitality setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, maintaining high standards of food safety, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for culinary arts with creativity in dish presentation and flavour combinations.
* Previous experience in supervising kitchen operations is preferred but not essential.
