Community Care Business Unit Assistant (Sandwell MBC Employees and At Risk only)

We are seeking a Community Care Business Unit Assistant to join our service, which provides a financial support service for Adult Social care.

Key duties of the role include:

* Undertaking financial assessments for people accessing Social care services via telephone or in person, and assist with all elements of income collection as required.
* Undertaking payments and raise invoices for people accessing social care services.

You will have:

* Experience of working in a payment and charging service (ideally in the public sector); a finance background is essential.
* The ability to work with figures accurately and quickly.
* The ability to use and interrogate general ledger systems.
* Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
* The ability to take and receive calls and communicate confidently and professional over the phone or in person with service users.

You will need to have 4 GCSE's Grade A to C, including English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications
