We are seeking suitable applications from highly capable and values-driven Occupational Therapists to join our community teams across Subiaco, Osborne, Mirrabooka, Wanneroo, and Butler mental health services.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time / Part Time and Casual appointments with the possibility of extension(s).

This is an Extended recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

1. The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
2. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
3. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31 December 2025.

What is our Senior Occupational Therapist role?

This position provides advanced occupational therapy services to consumers of the Community Mental Health Service; functions as a case manager undertaking clinical assessment of an allocated case load of consumers with a mental illness; contributes to the development and monitoring of occupational therapy services and rehabilitation programs, initiate quality improvement practices and implement changes and improvement for the mental health service; is an expert occupational therapy resource and will provide consultancy and education for the multidisciplinary teams and other agencies and stakeholders.

The Mental Health Public Health Dental Services (MHPHDS) Community Adult Mental Health Stream provides evidence based, specialised mental health services supported by strategic planning. The service is committed to working alongside service providers, consumers and carer stakeholders, to promote optimal mental health for those referred to our service.

Services are delivered through inpatient units, community mental health clinics and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area of almost 1 million people. State-wide and Tertiary Mental Health Services include research, forensics, neurosciences, art therapy, eating disorders and other specialised services.
