McCarthy Stone is the UK’s leading retirement living provider. We are seeking a House Manager to lead the estate at our Lorne Court development in Mosley, West Midlands.
Hours and Benefits
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, throughout the year.
Salary: £21,490.34 plus benefits and bonus.

About the Role of a House Manager
We are looking for a customer-centric House Manager to uphold our high standards of customer service. The role aims to enhance our Homeowners' quality of life and support their independence. Responsibilities include high-level customer service, front-of-house duties, facilities management, community engagement through events and meetings, and collaboration with partners and suppliers. Experience in front-line services or customer service management is preferred.
Key Duties
* Welcoming new Homeowners and assisting them with settling in.
* Providing professional front-of-house service and managing visitors.
* Being the primary contact for Homeowners, offering help, support, and advice.
* Collaborating with partners and suppliers to ensure smooth estate operations.
* Representing McCarthy Stone to families and friends of Homeowners.
* Handling issues with sensitivity, confidentiality, and respect for privacy.
* Managing gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
* Facilitating social activities and promoting community engagement.
* Adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.
Desired Competencies
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
* Extensive experience in customer service roles.
* Professional approach with high standards.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, varied role.
* Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
* Basic Health and Safety awareness is advantageous.
* Computer literacy, including Word and Outlook.
* First aid qualifications are a plus but training will be provided.
