A leading employee-owned planning consultancy is seeking a Senior or Associate Planner to join their growing team in Liverpool City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, collaborating with skilled professionals across multiple disciplines, including planning, urban design, transport, and sustainability.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
1. Provide expert commercial planning advice to clients in both the public and private sectors
2. Prepare and submit high-quality planning applications and appeals
3. Manage and coordinate project teams, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
5. Support senior staff on larger projects while also leading on individual assignments
6. Contribute to business development through networking and client engagement
The Ideal Candidate
1. Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) with 5-8 years of professional experience
2. Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and experience handling a variety of planning issues
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively
5. A proactive approach to business development, including networking and client meetings
