Salary: £18,000 - 21,000 per year Requirements:
* We are seeking candidates with strong recent experience in Java 21 or later. A solid understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and Agile delivery methodologies is essential. You should have experience with microservices architecture and responsive web design. A proven track record in building APIs and automated test frameworks for continuous deployment is required. Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems (Linux/Mac OS X) and comfort with collaborative development practices, such as pair programming, is also expected.
Responsibilities:
* In this role, you will lead or guide a team of Java developers on large-scale digital services. Your responsibilities include designing, building, and enhancing server-side applications and APIs for both internal and external use. You will build and maintain automated test suites to support continuous deployment efforts, contribute to scaling and improving high-traffic web platforms, and provide 2nd-line support for applications and platforms, including occasional out-of-hours support. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
