Management Trainee - Design Management
Willmott Dixon is looking for bright, ambitious individuals to join our Management Trainee programme in Design Management within our Construction London & East team, working on exciting projects in north London, the northern home counties and East Anglia.
This is more than just a first job in construction, it’s a launch pad for future leaders. Our program gives you real responsibility from day one, structured learning, and the chance to help shape communities through the buildings we deliver.
About the Role
As a Design Management trainee, you will be directly involved in the design and project management of construction projects. Your career is all about managing the design process in relation to producing a set of drawings that a building can be built from. You will do this through working with architects and design consultants to complete the clients brief at the best value.
Our programme will give you a great foundation; you will get exposure to many areas of our business through placements in different disciplines such as Site Management, Estimating and Quantity Surveying to develop your understanding of the construction business as a whole and not just your chosen specialism of Design.
Our management trainee programme is 2 to 5 years in duration (depending upon your entry point) and will give you the chance to earn while you learn and give you valuable work experience alongside part-time study for a level 6 qualification that is paid for by Willmott Dixon. Upon graduation from the programme you will progress into an Assistant Design Manager role.
