Job Summary
HGV Technician – South London. Salary £60,000–£70,000 per year. Location: South London. Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 6:30 pm. Job type: Full‑time, Permanent. Overtime available.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers
- Conducting PMIs and safety inspections
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
- Ensuring compliance with DVSA and operator licence requirements
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Managing workshop health and safety standards
- Liaising with the transport department regarding parts and outsourced work
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of DVSA regulations
- Ability to work independently
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred but not essential
- Gas Certificate
