Academics is currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a well-established SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in supporting young people with additional needs and looking to step into a more senior support role.
Main Duties:
* Deliver small group sessions and targeted interventions
* Support teaching staff with planning and classroom delivery
* Work with pupils to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
* Assist in developing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Collaborate with staff and external professionals to meet student needs
Candidate Requirements:
* HLTA status or relevant experience in a similar role
* Background working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN
* Confident supporting both learning and behaviour needs
* Calm, resilient, and approachable with strong interpersonal skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
