Job Opportunity: GCP Data Analyst / SME (Contract) Location: London OR Edinburgh (Hybrid 40% Onsite) Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong skills in data warehousing and Google Cloud Platform to join a high-impact project supporting enterprise data product design on GCP. Role Overview: As a GCP Data Analyst / SME, you'll analyze existing database and data warehouse jobs and collaborate closely with a Data Modeler to design modern data products on the Google Cloud Platform. This role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of 40% working from the office in either London or Edinburgh, with potential travel to customer workshops. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and backtrack existing DB/DWH jobs and create Source-To-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation Identify source and downstream systems for systems undergoing migration or re-imagination Define data ingestion/consumption patterns and target state requirements Support in designing enterprise-level data products Apply conceptual, logical, and physical data model understanding Utilize data modelling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization/denormalization) Required Skills & Experience: Advanced SQL, SSIS packages, Python and Shell Scripting expertise Experience using ER Studio Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (e.g., GCS, BigQuery, Kafka) Agile methodology experience Excellent communication and collaboration skills in client-facing roles Contract Details: Rate: up to £400 per day inside IR35 Duration: 6 months Start Date: ASAP in the next 2-4 weeks Location: Hybrid (40% onsite in either London or Edinburgh).
