On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking experienced Industrial (Access) Field Service Engineers to join their service teams at the Farnham and Hemel Hempstead depots. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual who enjoys working independently and maintaining machinery at peak operating condition. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service. What’s on Offer? Job type: Full-time Location: Hertfordshire, Field based role Salary: £16 - £18 per hour Overtime available at x1.5 Key Responsibilities: Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently Complete job cards accurately and within given timeframes Complete paperwork, timesheets and parts requests promptly Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards Present a professional image at all times Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with company policy Ensure all personal tools are safe and legal to use No lifting equipment (including straps, trolley jacks, etc.) is required to be supplied by the engineer; all equipment is provided by the company Skills, Experience and Training Requirements: Solid mechanical aptitude Experience in Forklift Truck Engineering Experience with materials handling equipment Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal, customer service and commercial awareness skills Efficiency and ability to work without supervision Positive, “can do” attitude Team player Our Ideal Candidate: Methodical, practical and highly organised in their work approach Friendly, approachable and professional with colleagues and customers Comfortable handling multiple tasks and problem solving independently Motivated to deliver high quality service and maintain machinery at peak performance Keen to develop further technical skills and progress within the industrial service team How to Apply: If you are looking for a role where you can use your mechanical skills, work independently and grow within an industrial service career, we would love to hear from you.
