JOB TITLE: LEARNER SUPPORT OFFICER (TEACHING ASSISTANT)

LOCATION: WISBECH

HOURS: 28 HOURS PER WEEK, 36 WEEKS PER YEAR (WITH UP TO 5 TRAINING DAYS CLAIMED AS OVER-TIME)

SALARY: £15,123 - £15,249 (£24,092 - £24,292 FTE)

Learner Support Officers offer one to one and group support to learners both inside and outside of the classroom through a range of activities based on individual learner needs.

Our Learner Support Officers work across a range of departments and provide support in classrooms, workshops and at social time, depending on the individual needs of learners and their timetable. These are rewarding roles where no two days are the same, and involve pastoral support, personal care and the chance to make a real difference to learners lives.

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Inclusive Learning team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.


Responsibilities

* Provide one to one and group support to learners inside and outside the classroom based on individual needs.
* Support across departments in classrooms, workshops and social times as per learner timetables.
* Deliver pastoral support and personal care as required to learners.
* Contribute to creating a positive learning environment and help learners achieve their potential.
