Vehicle Technician - Family-Run All Makes & Models Car Garage, South London
1. Location: Norwood, South London
2. Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
3. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (flexible working days/hours considered)
Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity in a reputable, family-run garage in Norwood, Greater London? Our client is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their friendly team. This role offers variety, stability, and the chance to work in a well-equipped workshop on a diverse range of vehicles, including classic cars, vans, and modern models.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician include:
9. Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal comebacks
10. Conducting mechanical repairs, including clutch replacements, head gaskets, and general servicing
11. Carrying out diagnostics using modern equipment, including Snap-on and Star system diagnostics for Mercedes
12. Assisting with classic car restoration, bodywork, and fitting tasks
13. Working on small vans and lease vehicles for preventative and reactive maintenance
14. Supporting the team with body stripping, fitting, and some cosmetic repairs
15. Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
Candidate specification for the Vehicle Technician role:
16. Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with a solid understanding of diagnostics and general repairs
17. Certified Master Technician, Technician, or Classic Car Restorer is desirable
18. Ability to work efficiently for 8 hours a day with minimal or zero comebacks
19. Friendly, reliable, and able to gel well with a team
20. Passionate about cars, with a keen interest in classic and vintage models
21. Professional attitude and excellent attention to detail
