Location: Richmond, London
Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

A welcoming secondary school in Greater London is seeking a Literacy Support Mentor to work with pupils needing targeted help with reading, writing and comprehension. This role suits graduates with strong literacy skills from English, History, Politics or similar backgrounds who are passionate about education. The role offers valuable experience ahead of teacher training, educational psychology or other school-based careers.
Key responsibilities
* Support pupils in reading, writing and comprehension across KS2–KS4
* Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions to reinforce classroom learning
* Adapt resources to meet diverse learning needs
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
Were looking for
* A 2:1 or above in English, History, Politics, Classics or similar
* Strong literacy and communication skills
* A genuine interest in education
* Full academic year availability
