We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to actively support our Operational and management teams in the responsibilities of Customs Brokerage services. This role plays a critical part in managing and maintaining an excellent level of operational Customs compliance and providing superior satisfaction to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring strong Customs expertise and analytical experience with a desire for constant improvement in compliance and risk mitigation through the systematic approach of CAPA-Corrective and Preventive Action. Key Responsibilities - Conduct routine and specific pre-entry audits as defined in Customer SOPs - Root cause errors to determine improvement opportunities. - Implement preventative measures through system tools and personnel training - Run and supply Customer Broker reports on weekly and Monthly basis, enhancing data as required - Contribute to the creation and presentation of monthly CAPA instances to Brokerage teams and management - Attend customer compliance calls to present audit findings and discuss additional opportunities. - Manage, when required, additional brokerage services and projects - Work with personnel on Transition of new business to test brokerage services prior to commencement - Analyse data within the Transition process to identify Customs compliance needs and to actively assist with SOP creation and optimise system Default and Validation elements. - Consistently keep up to date with new Customs regulations and updates to assist in Brokerage process updates and Customer notification and direction. - Maintain Customer Product classification databases as directed. - Design intuitive and efficient tools to improve Audit procedures and operational efficiency and compliance. Skills, Behaviours and Experience - Comprehensive understanding of Customs Import and Export formalities - Strong analytical proficiency - Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to execute professionally. - Intense desire to effectively root cause issues and create preventative action. - Proactive problem-solving skills and innovative thinking to address complex challenges - Superior excel skills - Formulas, data analysis, Pivot tables - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time critical environment - Experience in basic automation such as RegEx - Attention to detail with ability to work independently - Ability to manage multiple priorities. - High sense of ownership and commitment to driving improvement We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to actively support our Operational and management teams in the responsibilities of Customs Brokerage services. Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues. Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company's procedures. - Timely and Accurate Data Entry Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer requirements. Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution. - Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Expeditors and customer requirements. Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves. Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the company.
