Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lorry Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Operate various trailers to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
* Maintain and keep your vehicle tidy.
* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation as required by company policies.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times.
* Potential to have 5 nights out a week
* Ideally experience in both container and general cargo work.
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence, CPC and Tacho Card (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record (minor points considered, no more than 6pts)
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
