We have two exciting opportunities to join our fantastic Trading team as a Level 5 Buyer.
At a Glance
* Salary: £60,000 - £90,000
* Contract type: Two fixed-term contracts, each lasting 12 months.
* Location: Based at our Bracknell Head Office.
* Working pattern/flexible working: Hybrid approach—2-3 days in the office and the rest remote, with occasional key meetings.
* Interviews will be held in person during the week commencing 2nd June.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will:
* Work within a Category Pod, collaborating with Buyer, Merchandiser, Supply Planners, Technologist, and Product Developer to meet shared KPIs.
* Support the Category Pod in delivering individual accountabilities and KPIs.
* Upskill and develop buying skills through peer coaching and sharing best practices.
* Facilitate horizontal collaboration across Category Pods.
* Support the Trading Manager and deputise when necessary to ensure category plans are delivered.
This role suits a self-motivated individual with strong influencing skills, excellent communication, and numerical proficiency. Creativity and product passion are also desirable traits.

Essential Skills
* Commercial experience at Buyer level or equivalent, with a track record of delivering results.
* Experience communicating across all business levels or working in other directorates at a similar level.
* Training in negotiation skills (e.g., GAP) and understanding of industry compliance (GSCOP & Competition Law).
* Data-driven decision-making experience.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Effective performance management skills.
* Experience working collaboratively across boundaries.
* Ability to empower others and adopt a collaborative approach.
