Working hours will be Monday to Friday (shift pattern to be confirmed) based within Victoria Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Fife Pre-Assessment Service for an individual to join us as an appointments / clinic co-ordinator. Responsible to the Assistant Service Manager, your role will be to manage and coordinate the appointment requests and bookings for the pre assessment team as well as provide admin related tasks for the clinical team. This will include reception duties, telephone enquiries, preparation of paperwork, acting as a point of contact for patients and relatives. Communication and coordination of information between multi-disciplinary teams is key, alongside the organising and prioritisation of daily workload.
Good communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are essential. You must also be organised, methodical, innovative and have the ability to problem solve.
You should have previous health records or administrative experience with a good understanding of outpatient clinic systems. A working knowledge of NHS clinical systems such as Trakcare would be advantageous along with knowledge of clinical terminology and waiting times guidance. Experience of patient facing role and associated professionalism around this. Excellent organisation and numeracy skills. Ability to work collaboratively or autonomously when required. Awareness of GDPR and patient confidentiality.
Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.
