About Spen Brook School
Spen Brook supports up to 16 students aged between 11-18. It offers a broad and balanced curriculum which is in line with the national curriculum. At KS4 students have the opportunity to study ASDAN, Functional Skills and GCSEs for the more academically able.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of learners with additional and complex needs. You will play a vital role in supporting students, both academically and emotionally through a personalised approach to education.
Key Experience & Skills:
We are looking to recruit a teaching assistant. Previous experience working as a teaching assistant is essential, and experience of supporting SEMH people or working in a secondary school is advantageous for this role. If you enjoy working with small pupil numbers, supporting with a mixture of academic and practical/vocational subjects and have share a passion for supporting young people we want to hear from you!
The successful post-holder will have the passion and vision to develop and deliver high quality education. The school will work in close partnership with other professionals to provide a holistic package of support which may also include children living in care and accessing therapeutic support.
