NHS Western Isles is currently seeking a Health Visitor Team Lead to join our Balivanich Clinic.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the NHS Western Isles Health Visiting & School Nursing Team to provide a proactive, accessible, and equitable island-wide health visiting and school nursing service.
To provide leadership to the team with responsibility for the implementation of service developments based on agreed policies and procedures, ensuring a high-quality service working within the NMC Code and Clinical Governance frameworks.
Responsible for the training of student Health Visitors and liaison with higher education establishments.
You must be a Registered Public Health Nurse with a qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Degree.
You must have several years of post-registration experience as a Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor, with diverse caseload and leadership/management experience. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this post.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
